Lithuanian and U.S. drama—A film about World War II, where the Russians exile hundreds of Lithuanians to Siberia, to slave labor camps, and the ordeals they go through to survive. This film is good but it has a kind of Russian "Hallmark" quality about it, but worth seeing anyway for its history. Sophie Cookson, Bel Powley. Languages: English, Russian, Lithuanian.

It doesn't take a genius to see that this is one of the best special effects movies ever done. But beyond that, there is a message of imperialism and that military might is right. The connect between nature and humanity is a higher message, and one that has to be understood by the materialistic West. The need to get back to nature goes beyond just gardening but that we all need to be a preserver of what's left of the forests and natural environments. On a spiritual and metaphysical basis, ...

The French Director Nacer Khemir's interview...

A true story based upon four photo journalists documenting the end of apartheid in South Africa. Two of the photo journalists won Pulitzer Prizes for their work. The group exposes the murders and tragedy and violence on all sides of the struggle. The white South African government allied with the Zulus against the ANC (African National Congress). If you can get through the unnecessary sex and the violence, this film is worth seeing for its reality and tragedy of how people of the same race ...

Beasts of No Nation

This is a story of a young African teenager who is abducted by the rebels to be a child soldier. His whole family is killed, and the atrocities that he goes through are hard to believe. And because this happens to so many young African boys and the film is done so realistically, it made me wish I was young again to go join the group of mercenaries to go after those rebels and bring them to justice. The boy was even physically abused by his crazed commander. The film is brutal, so be aware. ...

Beautiful Boy

Based on a true story of a drug-addicted teenager whose parents divorced at an early age. The boy finally got addicted to crystal meth. As a counselor I have been in rehabilitation since I was 24 years old, first working with Nicky Cruz Halfway Houses and many others around the country. I felt very close to the young man in this story and saw and worked with many like him and also many young women too. Luckily, this young man somehow—through what he writes in his book as a ...
