He has friends and acquaintances on various sides of the war, as there were 3 factions---the Catholics, the socialists, and the fascists. The story takes place from his childhood to adulthood through the war and living through persecution and murders of Catholic priests by the more atheist socialists. The Tic Code

The Tic Code, directed by Gary Winick and starring Gregory Hines and Polly Draper (who was also the scriptwriter and producer), is a wonderful film about a ten-year-old genius pianist (Christopher Marquette) who has Tourette's Syndrome.  Besides the great jazz music heard throughout this film, the messages are so wonderful that if you take the time while viewing the film to think about the last message you may have to watch the film again to get the next wonderful ...

The special effects with the tiger are outstanding. So are the many messages associated between the wild animals and humans. I would highly recommend this...

Australian/Bhutanese drama

A very interesting pictorial of life in Bhutan with Western influence creeping into the traditional culture. It's fun to see a Bhutanese with Nike tennis shoes and boom box sitting beside a monk playing a traditional string instrument high in the mountains. Check out the transportation. Spectacular views and cinematography lend to the mystical aspect of this film and story. Interesting characters keep you very interested in what characters will pop up ...

Tree of Life

Bravo director & writer Terrence Malick and Brad Pitt for helping to produce it financially and Sean Penn! This art film is magnificent in its metaphorical messages, spectacular visuals and photography, and being able to capture the miracle of birth, the innocence of life as babies, the safety of loving parents, the difficultly of raising children, the frustration of lack of success by fathers in their career, and the hope in an afterlife where all decent people will be together again. Brad ...
