I like to see films where honor is still valued. In today's society, in our government, military, and culture, the virtue of honor seems to be lost and what has taken its place is dishonor and selfishness.  On a fallen world where war still exists between people and nations, there is a thin line between the right and wrong thing to do for a soldier. I believe there is a universal code of right consciousness that exists which all individuals can tap into at those moments when they must choose to do the right thing.  Later the courts of law sometimes have to judge individuals to determine if they did indeed do the right thing.  In a case like the one portrayed in this movie, the soldier who had proved his honor time and time again should not have been tried in the first place. The fact that the military court of the film proved him innocent gives hope that our government and military can also be inspired to make the right decision in the higher courts when right decisions need to be made in the end–even though lower minds choose to turn sensitive issues around to justify their own wrong motives, political or otherwise. In a world that seems to have lost all honor and justice we look and pray for leaders to have these qualities.  Another film I would recommend of this theme would be the HBO movie, In Pursuit of Honor.
