Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon demonstrates to the entire film industry that great films can be made–films that have honor, dignity, culture, cinematography, great acting, good theme, and entertaining as well.
I did wish, however, that the master did not have to die and the young female master could have repented, found God, and lived. Those changes would have resulted in an even better film. One of the main problems with the world is there is no hope. I may seem naïve or too optimistic, but I believe the promise of the return to this planet of Jesus Christ is a real promise. I believe that he was real, and that alone should give us a lot of hope.I'm sure, as the reader, you're wondering why I threw this in on a review of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I did because everything that Jesus was makes this film beautiful. And all that is good in people everywhere is what Jesus asks us to be. It's a film worth seeing, for the principles of God that Jesus taught are the same throughout all of humanity. We do need to make films with more positive endings to have hope. But as far as this particular film holding your interest and bringing you into a land of beautiful fantasy, this film more than does that. I believe that Jesus did that every time He talked to someone. He brought people into a beautiful reality.
I personally like the idea of the master in this film being an honorable, good, and spiritual man. His goodness and princely way captivated the audience. Wouldn't it be wonderful for someone like him to be the President of the U.S.? If you think I'm stretching it too far, then you probably voted for the wrong guy (actually, there was no right guy) and would not understand Crouching Tiger, Hidden Tiger.
